Thomas Dressler: Recordings

Thomas Dressler Plays the 1847 Ferris Organ at Round Lake, NY

The Ferris organ in the Round Lake Auditorium is the oldest extant large 3-manual organ built in the United States. This recording has a wide variety of repertoire, showing the tonal flexibility of an instrument which straddles "classical" and Romantic tonal design. The recording includes works of Franck, Rheinberger, JS Bach, Boehm, and Scheidt, as well as early American music. It is packaged in a folder with lots of color pictures of the organ, the auditorium, and the artist.
